Congratulations to our Year 4 Football Team for winning 7-1 against East Peckham Primary School! They worked together brilliantly, showing all the skills and teamwork practised at Football Five Star. Great work boys and another win for Horsmonden!
Year 4 enjoyed their trip to Temper Temper recently where they learned about cocoa beans as well as experimenting with their own chocolate creations.
Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising efforts for our partner school Chapita Primary School -Malawi. With our donation, they have been able to purchase supplies to improve their sanitation. This year, we will be fundraising for tables and chairs as currently, their pupils sit on the floor to learn.
Today children enjoyed sharing their Harvest Boxes with residents of Horsmonden village. This is a long standing tradition that brings the school together with the local community, and is such a heartwarming event to be a part of. Meet our School Council, called the Horsmonden Huddle! Children were elected by their peers and will meet each term to share their ideas for improving the school further.
In Year 5 children have been learning about pulse and rhythm by playing music on the glockenspiels and xylophones. They were able to apply this learning to their Anglo-Saxon Inquiry work by forming a long boat rhythm as a class!
In Gymnastics, Year 6 have been using their core strength to practise balancing, jumping and landing using apparatus. Some chose to work individually, some chose to work in small groups or pairs. Great work Year 6!
