The School Council plays an integral part of Horsmonden. It gives the teachers and the parents an insight into the needs of the children and gives the children an opportunity to raise any concerns or ideas that help the school to run as smoothly as possible.
We have previously, for example, discussed the importance of uniform and any changes that they feel would improve what we have already. We also have discussed ways to improve lunchtimes and playtimes on the playground, friendships and ways to be more inclusive.
Children also have the opportunity to be the first to try new initiatives and activities that we have introduced so that we can improve and reflect on our practice.
