Parent Update 1st March 2024

Dear Parents

Year 5 and 6 Classrooms

Over half term, the Year 5 and 6 Classrooms were completely transformed and now look amazing! The addition of the suspended ceiling has not only improved the temperature and acoustics, but has also blocked out the sound of the rain, which has been a blessing this week! The classrooms look bright with new LED lighting and fresh with painted walls and woodwork, as well as a new fitted sink area.

World Book Day – Thursday 7th March

As always, children are welcome to come to school dressed as their favourite book characters. This year teachers are planning a day of exciting activities under the theme of ‘Wizards and Witches.’ Activities planned for the children include wand making, potion mixing, spell writing and crest designing.

At the end of the day the ‘Chocolicious Prize Bars’ will be given out to those children who placed an order. There will also be a Book Sale, run by FoHPS, at pick up, to raise money for the school. Parents are welcome to donate preloved books for the sale between Monday 4th March and  Wednesday 6th March by taking them to the school office. Please click here for more information.

Fabulous Females – Friday 8th March, 2:00pm-3:00pm

In recognition of Mothering Sunday, all the ‘Fabulous Females’ in our school family are welcome to join their children in class from 2:00pm onwards next Friday afternoon. This will give you an opportunity to spend time with your children, find out more about their learning and look through their books. Tea, coffee, squash and biscuits will be available in the hall for mums and children to enjoy.
